ETERNAL LIFE

Image
INTRODUCTION My Uncle who died of Pneumonia last year, gave me a glimpse of Heaven. He was at the hospital, taking treatment, and since it were the time of the COVID-19 virus. He was isolated. A man who meets and talks to people relentlessly was desolated for he was the only one with him. However, He never looked sad and moreover, he tried to maintain a happy face when we were visiting him. We did notice the hiding sad face. Days passed, and suddenly one day, His face looked stunningly shinning and really joyful as if all his debts in this world are cleared. He was happy as heaven. When asked why, He began saying “Arey Ben, It is time. Only two more days and I will be free. I saw what God has planned for me. It was the most beautiful thing I‟ve ever seen.” I tried asking him more and where he saw what. He was responding with utmost excitement but is running out of words. What I did understand was He envisioned something greater and beyond this life. The reason I profoundly say it‟s bey

HEAVEN

Image
Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, Today we are going to meditate on the topic "Heaven". Heaven is a place every believers wished to be in someday, in the heart of every believer there is always the hope of heaven. Heaven is the afterlife, the home of God and His angels, it’s also known as paradise, also the celestial sphere. Heaven is seen as a place of supreme happiness, joy and contentment. Where there will be no tears, there is no sorrow, no regret, no remorse. Heaven is the place that some people go to, after leaving the physical body. It is the eternal home, of our spirit and soul. Even though, The greatest life of a believer is the life of heaven. And heaven is promised with joy that is beyond human understanding, We all know that the road to heaven is full of thrones, the greatest example we see is from the life of Jesus Christ, our heavenly being who come to earth, ascend to Heaven in the afterlife. His life on earth was full of s

HELL

Image
INTRODUCTION What happens when we die? The 2019 Pew Research poll shows that 72% of Americans believe in literal heaven while 58% believe in a literal hell. Most of the people who hold these beliefs are Christians. It is general that for most of us, the term “Hell” reminds us of a raging fire beneath the heavens, maybe earth, which is the abode of evildoers where they are tortured and tormented on account of the punishment for their sins. Whenever we hear the word “Hell” there will be an image that is composed of chaos, irregularity, wailing, pain surrounded by torments, etc. This image - which most of us are reminded of through this word - is a constructed image of the teachings, stories, myths, and traditions we live and are brought up. On the other hand, theologians view hell as the logical consequence of rejecting God’s relationship. The contradiction to such views is that scripture nowhere portrays God as an eternal torturer. Which father wants to fry his child in oil? How many

SECOND COMING

Image
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also (John 14:1-3). Greetings! The Second Coming, also called the Second Advent or the Parousia, in Christianity is referring to the future return of Jesus Christ in glory, when it is understood that he will set up his kingdom, judge his enemies, and reward the faithful, living and dead. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is mentioned in the Bible several times. When we look at the Bible, we can readily discover that the Lord’s return is prophesied in two different ways. Besides His public descent upon a cloud, He also will descend in secret. For example, the Bible records: “If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief” (Revelation 3:3). “Behold

JUDGMENT

Image
Greetings to you all in the Name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, The judgments begin apparently with the judgment of resurrected saints of the Old Testament, both the Israelites and the Gentiles, and resurrected saints of the tribulation period. The Scriptural teaching about judgment lies at the centre of God’s revelation. It is a crux of the biblical message, giving a profound paradigm for our thinking. Next to the fundamental proclamation that God is the Creator (Gen 1–2), the Lord is presented as the Judge: In the Garden of Eden there is the first reference to the trial judgment (Gen 3:8–24).  Judgment is an integral part of God’s nature; it is His characteristic divine prerogative. To understand God means to know and comprehend His judgments, which are very comprehensive. Through the study of His judgments, we can know who He is and what His character is. God actually invites us to understand His judgments in order to be able to deliberately declare that He is love and justic

SUFFERING

Image
Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Oxford Dictionary describes the word, ‘Suffering’ as “physical or mental pain that a person or animal is feeling”. According to our understanding, suffering is the state of undergoing pain, distress, or hardship. Through this article, we are going to examine ourselves! When I reached out to write about this topic, suffering. There were these two things that came to my mind; As a Human beings, we all are experiencing suffering, but the main point is that.  Is our suffering really, Meaningful? Or is it Meaningless? Meaningful Suffering In the word itself, we can identify what is meaningful suffering. Life  shouts, survival of the fittest. For this survival, we need to work. Sometimes the work is perhaps easy or taught, but still, we need to work on it to pursue the thing. e.g. The athlete always practices, meanwhile, during the practice time he/she perhaps gets some injuries and struggles, but

TRANSFORMATION

Image
“Lent comes providentially to reawaken us, to shake us from our lethargy”  - Pope Francis Lent is a time to examine oneself in the presence of God and make rectifications, which leads to transformation. The season of Lent is an exodus, the exodus of bearing good fruit in life. In other words, we must change our priorities and accept His will in our life.  Chapter 2:1-11 in John’s gospel is well-known, it gives prominence to faith, hope, and transformation. The sign at the wedding feast in Cana is an important event in the public ministry of Jesus Christ. The fact that tasteless water can become high-quality wine reminded us that there is a chance for all to be transformed. Let us go through this passage and observe some attributes of transformation. It is necessary to be aware of one’s surroundings. In Palestine, wine is an integral element of all celebrations. It was not a sign of luxury, but it was a necessity. Wine is more than just a drink at a Jewish wedding; it is a sign
