RESURRECTION
The word “Resurrection” was first used in the 13th century. The noun resurrection comes from the Latin word “resurgere” meaning "rise again." It can refer literally to arising from the dead. Resurrection is the ultimate belief of every Christian. It is the rising from the dead of a divine or human being who still retains his own personhood, or individuality, though the body may or may not be changed.
The belief in the resurrection of the body is usually associated with Christianity, because of the doctrine of the Resurrection of Christ. This event, which occurred almost two thousand years ago, it was foretold in the books of the Old Testament talks about Jesus’s birth and resurrection, especially in the book of Isaiah chapter 25, verse 8, which says “ He will swallow up death forever. Then the Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces, and the disgrace of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.” Then in Matthew 12:40, 16:21, 26:32, in John 9:17-18, Mark 10:34 etc,.. So it is a clear foretold by God to humans through prophecies.
According to Acts chapter 3, verse 26, says “ When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.” This verse shows the Blessings from Jesus through his Resurrection. In 2Corinthians, Chapter 5, Verse 15, says “And he died for all so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them” It shows that Resurrection makes us Holy. Then it became Powerful, which says in Ephesians chapter 1, verses 19 and 20, “ and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his great power.
God put this power to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places.”. Resurrection brings us Justification, which is mentioned in Romans chapter 4 verse 25 “who was handed over to death for our trespasses and was raised for our justification”.
In Romans, chapter 7 verse 4 asks us to be fruit-bearing “In the same way, my friends,[a] you have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God”. And Finally resurrection makes us to be Quickening which is in Roman 8 verse 11 “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus fro If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you”.
Christ’s resurrection has been at the heart of the church’s message from the Day of Pentecost to the present. By rising from the dead, Jesus Christ demonstrated that He had cleansed the guilt of our past and is able to help us in our present lives.
His resurrection assures us that our future is safe and secure. Without Christ’s resurrection, we would have no salvation from sin, and no hope for our own future resurrection.
The empty tomb is proof of Christ’s deity. It guarantees the future resurrection of believers. The resurrection of Christ also provides believers with spiritual power today. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is evidence that God will one day judge the world in righteousness.
If your faith in God, our creator, Jesus, our savior, Holy Spirit, our protector then believe in Resurrection, which brings us new life, and hope which leads us to peace. Without faith, there is no word of God. Without word there is no God ( John 1:1) without God there is no resurrection. Without the resurrection, there is no life.
