Today's Verse

1 Corinthians 3:9

For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.


In Old Testament, when God delivered Israel from Egypt, He chose them to be his people, a holy divine people who could lead others (nonbelievers) in the right way. Throughout the travel until the settlement of Israel, the people around them feared them and knew that their God was True God. So, God called Moses to build a central place for worship and other activities like offerings for their sins, forgiveness, redemption etc. So, Tabernacle was God’s building, and it is Holy, where one can meet God and speak with him.

But in New Testament, Because of one everlasting sacrifice, the sins of humanity were washed out by Jesus. Jesus is the only one who can cleanse us. He is the only way to reconcile with God the Father, and to be Holy. Because of this, the term God’s building or Holy Place God is provided. all humanity, to that whoever believes in Jesus will be God’s building. and it is very important to them that they must cleanse themselves through Jesus to become Holy, or to make a dwelling place for the comforter (Holy Spirit).

So, in the year 2022 in these Lent days, it is very important and necessary for a Christian to understand that he’s a Church/Shrine/ Tabernacle, and it is must to keep ourself clean and Holy to allow the Comforter to work in his ways in our life.

In every house the dwellers will try to keep their house clean. Cleaning the house or keeping the house clean, makes them feel goodness in their house, a pleasant environment not only from inside the house from outside too. Whoever visit the house, because of the goodness that felt in the house, they will also try to make the same goodness in their home.

So, in these Lent days lets remember our selves that we are God’s building, and its our necessity to keep ourselves clean, through this we become Holy, and we become a dwelling place for Holy Spirit, and through Holy Spirit we will start to produce Fruits of Spirit (Goodness) before others.

Galatians 5: 22-23

22 By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control.

When we start to bear these fruits, it will fall into the society among others, whoever sees this goodness will try to bring the same goodness in them. Through this our society will become a place of Goodness.

What is the thing should we clean ourselves from?

Galatians 5: 19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

We should clean ourselves according to Paul’s teaching. Paul the Apostle of Jesus listed the things which do not let one to enter God’s Kingdom through Jesus.

So, it is necessary for a Christian to cleanse himself from fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing.

 Lent days are the best days for one to practice cleaning himself from these things and it is best practice for oneself to make it a habit in his life.

It is from us where it starts. so, let’s Cleanse ourself and be a fruitful God’s building.

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, For today my reflection is from Mark 12:41-44, a widow praised by Jesus as an exemplary model of generosity and true piety. This reading can be regarded as the usual or traditional interpretation of the story which we keep listening to over and over again. But it is also the story of a widow, who offered her last penny, this is a tragic and painful example of an exploited woman . The widow’s act would be nothing but a misguided expression of false piety inspired and encouraged by the religious leaders. MINISTRY

Introduction The term Ministry comes from Latin ‘ministerium’ which means ‘activity of a servant, service, duty’. In Middle English ‘ministere’. Later it became Minstri. Our Lord Jesus Christ talks about ministry, “My Father will honor the one who serves me”. John 12:25. If we want to get honor from Almighty, we should do the ministry with sincerely.
